Agriculture plays a major part in Pakistan’s economy. More then 40 percent of the population works within the agriculture sector. Many of the crops that are grown are fruits, rice, cotton, tobacco, vegetables, sugarcane, and wheat. Poultry, cattle and sheep are also a major part of the economy. Many of Pakistan’s exports are to the United States, Saudi Arabia, China and the United Arab Emirates where clothing, textiles, leather, rice, carpets and chemicals are produced for export.

The best time to travel to Pakistan is in the cooler months between November and April. The climate of Pakistan has very hot summers with cold or cooler winters. Temperatures can be extreme depending on the location. The average temperature in the capital city of Islamabad in January is 2 degrees Celsius, where in June the temperature gets as high or higher then 40 degrees Celsius. In some places of Pakistan there has been recordings of temperatures reaching 54 degrees Celsius, which could be very dangerous to your health.
