Light Night

This one night cultural and artistic spectacle features over 50 of the areas cultural and arts spaces playing host to over 100 free events. This year’s event will be held on May 15th beginning at 4:00pm and invites people of all ages to explore world-class museums, public spaces, and galleries, view performances and exhibitions, and participate in walks and talks or even take in a light show.


Brazilian Festival and Samba Carnival will be held July 17th through the 19th and is the only one of its kind in the heart of Liverpool. Experience a street performance like no other as dancers and samba bands from Europe, Brazil, and the UK bring the streets of Liverpool to life with music, color, and cultural atmosphere. Take in Brazilica’s parade, watch a performance, or dance your way up the streets of Liverpool to samba beats. The Grand National

The Grand National is held each year at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, England, and is a National Hunt horse raise that has been run since 1839. This steeplechase is over 4 mils 3 ½ furlongs (1,141m) in length and is a uniquely challenging course. Horses jump 30 fences for two circuits around the track in the race to win the annual prize of about £1 million (2014 figures). The course has become famous for its difficulty and uniqueness and has been referred to as the ultimate test.

International Beatleweek

This year’s celebration of all things Beatles will be held 26 August to 1 September 2015. Bands from over 20 countries will gather to celebrate the Beatles right in Liverpool right where they began. Enjoy a wide variety of guest speakers, sightseeing tours, a convention, memorabilia sales, video shoes, and so much more. Music will be performed for 15 hours each and every day of Beatleweek and will be performed by over 70 bands honoring the Beatles with their covers. This festival is suitable for all age groups and has something for everyone.
