If you’re going away soon, you’re probably thinking of the things you can take. You may have even started packing! What you take will depend on where you’re going, who you’re going with, and the time of year. However, I think the following 10 things are usually a good bet. They’ll make your trip safer, more fun, and way more comfortable. Take a look!
Sunscreen is a must whether you’re going to a sunny place or a snowy place. The sun can damage your skin at any time of year! People even wear it when they go skiing, as it can reflect off the white snow and burn the skin. Apply it regularly to make sure your skin stays healthy.
A First Aid Kit
You never know what might happen while you’re away, so be sure to take a small first aid kit away with you. This is especially important if you’re travelling with kids. Take a selection of plasters, antibacterial stuff, bandages, and more. Ideally, make it portable so you can take it with you wherever you go.
Travel insurance is a must, so don’t forget it! Make sure you get the right level of cover for the kind of trip you’re taking so that you don’t take any risks. Some places advise you take an EHIC card, which can help you in a similar way. Just beware that it doesn’t replace travel insurance for a lot of things.
A Good Book
I think reading a good book in a foreign country is a lovely way to spend time. Whether you’re relaxing at a cafe or on the beach, catching up with a good story is one of my favourite things to do. Sometimes just sitting there can be boring.
Clothes to Suit Your Shape
I like to feel as confident as possible on holiday, especially since we tend to wear less clothes because of the heat. I always make sure I’ve packed clothes to suit my shape. If I plan on spending time in the pool and on the beach, I’ll look for something suitable a place like http://www.swimweargalore.com.au. I also make sure I have skirts, tops, shorts, and lots of other interchangeable bits.
Ever used an app to help you find somewhere to eat, or an attraction? There are plenty that can help you to have a better time away. Just make sure you download them before you leave.
A Good Camera
Taking pictures is a must, so invest in a good camera. In some cases, a smartphone camera can be enough.
A Sturdy Bag
How will you take all of this with you without a sturdy bag? Make sure you invest!
Have a list of emergency numbers kept safe just in case anything should happen. You never know!
Make an itinerary before you leave so you don’t need to mess around while you’re away. Just make sure you leave some spare time for exploring!
Have an amazing time!
